CARBON SEQUESTRATION
Learn where the carbon goes after photosynthesis
Awesome job helping Chester complete photosynthesis! The next step is for Chester to store all the carbon that he has just pulled from the air. This step is called carbon sequestration. Carbon sequestration is the process when trees take the carbon from photosynthesis and store it in their roots and trunk. This process is important because in the effort of reducing global warming it is important to remove the carbon from the air and store it underground.
